Job Description
Reporting to the Emergency WASH Project Manager, the Project Officer will oversee the implementation of WASH infrastructure, community mobilization, hygiene promotion, and gender mainstreaming activities. The Officer will contribute to compliance assurance, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring and evaluation processes. This includes facilitating construction quality control, training hygiene promoters, attending coordination meetings, and ensuring project visibility in refugee settlements.

How to Apply
Program Administration (50%)
Support implementation of WASH infrastructure projects in accordance with plans and standards.
Supervise quality construction and involve communities in sustainable water access solutions.
Promote gender inclusion and community participation in WASH activities.
Design and implement hygiene promotion activities.
Train and support hygiene promoters and water committees.
Compliance (15%)
Ensure adherence to CWS policies and guidelines in WASH and gender projects.
Assist in financial and procurement compliance for construction and WASH-related activities.
Representation/Engagement (15%)
Represent CWS at coordination meetings and with stakeholders as delegated.
Monitoring and Evaluation (15%)
Contribute to donor reporting and M&E frameworks.
Document and share best practices in emergency WASH programming.
Additional Responsibilities (5%)
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in water supply, engineering, hydrology, or a related field (required).
Master’s degree in any of the above or in Public Health (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in WASH and construction, preferably in humanitarian settings.
Experience in hygiene training, program monitoring and evaluation, coaching and mentoring.
Experience with vulnerable populations and collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of cross-cutting issues in WASH.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Strong IT skills (MS Office, CRM, Web Conferencing).
High-level written and verbal communication skills.
Capable of working independently and in multicultural teams.
Willing to travel frequently under challenging conditions.

Background, reference, and criminal checks mandatory.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
