Job Description
As a Driller/Data Recorder, you are responsible for monitoring and documenting borehole drilling operations. Skilled in recording drilling parameters including depth, pressure, temperature, and geological formations to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency. Maintains detailed daily logs and prepares technical reports for analysis and decision-making. Collaborates with drilling teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot equipment issues. Committed to supporting effective project execution through precise data management and adherence to operational standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Spiritual leadership

Operate and Maintain Drilling Equipment
- Set up, operate, and monitor drilling rigs, compressors, and related tools to ensure safe and efficient borehole drilling operations.
Record Drilling Data Accurately
- Document critical drilling parameters such as depth, penetration rate, water strikes, soil/rock formations, casing details, and drilling fluid usage.
Monitor Borehole Conditions
- Observe and report changes in geological formations, water levels, pressure, and any drilling challenges encountered during operations.
Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards
- Follow occupational health, environmental, and safety regulations to prevent accidents and protect personnel and equipment.
Prepare Daily Drilling Reports
- Compile and submit detailed daily progress reports, including technical data, materials used, and operational challenges.
Coordinate with Technical Teams
- Work closely with hydrogeologists, site supervisors, and support staff to ensure accurate data collection and successful completion of the borehole project.
Communication
- Communicate effectively with drilling engineers, geologists, and other team members to relay important information and address any discrepancies or concerns regarding the recorded data.
Equipment Maintenance
- Where available, maintain and calibrate data recording equipment to ensure accurate measurements and reliable performance.
Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others involved in the drilling operations.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in data recording and documentation procedures.
Driving
- Carry out driving wherever and whenever necessary.
