Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on and entrepreneurial Digital Systems Builder to join our team. This is not a typical IT role. We are a start-up, and we are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of being a part of building our digital infrastructure from the ground up, under the direct mentorship of our tech-savvy founding team.
You will be the key person responsible for connecting our business processes, managing our data flows, and turning data into actionable insights. If you are a proactive problem-solver who loves to automate, integrate, and build smart, simple solutions, this role is for you.

Build Our Data Core: Design and implement a simple, scalable data structure to manage information from our sales, operations, and IoT-enabled farming systems.
Automate and Integrate: Analyze our workflows and use modern tools (like Zapier, APIs, etc.) to connect our key business systems, including our POS and QuickBooks.
Create Insight: Build and maintain real-time management dashboards that give our team the data they need to make smart decisions.
Rapidly Prototype Solutions: Use your skills and modern tools (including AI-powered app builders) to quickly develop and test simple applications for core functions like inventory and client management.
Support the outsourcing of development projects, developing requirements documents, selecting and screening vendors and supporting testing and roll-out of business software or client/grower-facing applications.
Support the Team: As part of a small, agile team, you will provide practical IT support and ensure everyone can work efficiently.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
You have 2-4 years of hands-on experience, likely in a tech, data, or operations role, and you are ready to take on more ownership and responsibility.
You are a natural problem-solver. You see a manual process and immediately think about how to automate it.
You are highly conversant with spreadsheets and have experience building dashboards that tell a clear story with data.
You are tech-curious and a fast learner, excited by the potential of IoT and AI, even if you are not a deep expert yet.
You have some technical experience connecting different software tools (e.g., via APIs or integration platforms) and coding scripts.
You are driven by our social mission and are excited to use your tech skills to create a tangible, positive impact.
