Equity Bank Uganda Limited, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is licensed by the Bank of Uganda, the central bank and national banking regulator.
Equity Bank is one of the fastest growing banks in Uganda, with a large network of 50 branches, 7,000+ EquiDuukas, 1,279 POS Terminal and 50+ ATMs spread across the country. 25 of these branches are located in Central and greater Kampala, serving over 1,800,000 customers. How to Apply
Gather business intelligence from a variety of sources including company database, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.
Assesses market strategies by analyzing related products, pricing, markets, or trends.
Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential opportunities.
Maintain and keep an up-to-date Database that supports ad hoc information requests from stakeholders and reporting needs that support decision making.
Drive automation of self-service dashboards within the unit that show trends and insights to support actionable recommendations and reduce TAT on information needs.
Maintain current knowledge of industry and business trends in technology in relation to business intelligence.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Oversee, mentor and guide assignments and activities of subordinates.

A bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science.
A masters/Certification in Business Intelligence /data analytics / related field is a plus
Skills
Proficiency in BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau etc )
Strong SQL and data Modeling Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to collect and compile relevant data.
Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
Strong business analysis skills.
Works well independently and as part of a team.
Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes/operations and the industry at large.
Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Experience
At least 3 years overall progressive experience in Business Intelligence, or data analytics roles working in a reputable organisation
Experience with Cloud – based BI solutions and data platforms
