Job Description
Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst
Organisation: Jubilee Life Insurance
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary:
Responsible for identifying threats, assessing vulnerabilities, and strengthening the organisation’s cybersecurity posture. Includes monitoring incidents, conducting assessments, supporting security audits, and implementing security controls.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber incidents
Conduct vulnerability assessments & penetration tests
Implement endpoint, network, and cloud security controls
Support security awareness programs
Ensure compliance with security standards & policies
Key Deliverables:
Threat & vulnerability analysis
Incident investigation and reporting
Response to emerging hardware/software risk
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP (Associate) or CISM
Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, and vulnerability management
3-4 years’ experience in cybersecurity operations
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
