Job Description
The Credit Officer – Group Lending will be responsible for mobilizing and managing client groups, assessing loan applications, monitoring loan utilization, and ensuring timely loan repayments while promoting financial inclusion in the community.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Mobilizing and recruiting clients to form lending groups within the community.
- Educating clients on loan products, procedures, and repayment terms.
- Conducting credit assessments and evaluating loan applications from group members.
- Supporting clients in completing loan documentation and application processes.
- Disbursing loans to approved clients according to company procedures.
- Monitoring loan utilization to ensure funds are used for intended purposes.
- Following up with clients to ensure timely loan repayments.
- Maintaining accurate client and loan records.
- Addressing client concerns and resolving loan-related issues.
- Preparing field and loan performance reports for management.
- Promoting a culture of financial discipline and responsible borrowing among clients.
