2-year contract PILLARS, a leading construction and engineering company in Uganda, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts/Project Manager to join our team in Kampala. This is a full-time, 2-year contract with the potential for extension based on performance. As the Contracts/Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our civil projects in Uganda. This includes managing the project budget, timeline, and resources, as well as ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements and regulations.
Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses
Create and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely completion of all project milestones
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors
Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays
Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and regulations
Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status and progress
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of project management

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and tools
Experience managing complex civil projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and lead a team
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of local construction regulations and codes in Uganda is preferred
