How to Apply
Organize stakeholder meetings with local leaders, government, and community groups.
Manage the company’s grievance redress system and ensure timely issue resolution.
Plan and execute CSR events (e.g., Women’s Day, Youth Day, gender awareness campaigns).
Train and manage community volunteers for HSE, fire prevention, wildlife management, and whistleblowing.
Support livelihood restoration and resettlement during land expansion.
Provide crisis response and engagement for company projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Relations, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in community engagement or CSR.
Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with safeguarding, gender training, and community development.
Knowledge of Ugandan laws on child protection and gender; familiarity with international safeguarding standards.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Luganda, Kiswahili, or Runyoro preferred.
Work Conditions:
Based in Kigumba with travel up to 50% to project sites.
Flexibility required to conduct community meetings outside regular work hours.
