Job Description
The Community Mobilizer plays a central role in engaging local populations, facilitating awareness campaigns, gathering feedback, and supporting community-led initiatives in humanitarian contexts. This position focuses on fostering trust and collaboration, advocating for vulnerable groups, and enhancing the overall impact and responsiveness of relief efforts. Working closely with project teams and local authorities, the mobilizer ensures that community voices shape the design and delivery of aid interventions.

How to Apply
Community Engagement
Organize community meetings and focus groups to raise awareness of project goals and services.
Encourage active participation of local communities in ongoing program activities.
Identify and engage local leaders, community groups, and influencers to foster ownership and sustainability.
Information Dissemination
Deliver clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive information about programs using local languages and appropriate methods.
Maintain transparency by regularly updating communities on program progress.
Address inquiries and direct unresolved concerns to supervisors.
Feedback and Monitoring
Collect and report community feedback, complaints, and suggestions.
Support participatory monitoring and evaluation activities.
Document and communicate findings to relevant project teams to inform program adjustments.
Capacity Building and Advocacy
Facilitate workshops on key issues like health, hygiene, protection, and disaster preparedness.
Advocate for the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized populations.
Collaborate with NGOs, local authorities, and other stakeholders to strengthen outreach and impact.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Work, Public Health, or related field.
Prior experience in community mobilization or humanitarian fieldwork is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in multicultural and rural environments.
Proficiency in local languages is highly desirable.
Good organizational and reporting skills.
Commitment to humanitarian principles and community empowerment.
