Job Summary:
DFCU Bank is looking for a results-driven Commercial Relationship Manager to oversee and grow relationships within the Commercial and SME segments. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service to assigned clients, ensuring their retention, and deepening engagement by identifying new business opportunities that align with their financial needs. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to portfolio growth, risk management, and overall profitability.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional relationship management to foster client loyalty, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
Identify and acquire new business opportunities, particularly within the manufacturing sector, with potential for strong growth and return on investment.
Gather and share market intelligence to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities, providing timely insights to management.
Ensure superior customer service delivery, maximizing value from existing relationships while attracting new clients.
Collaborate with the Risk Unit to maintain a healthy portfolio and proactively minimize non-performing assets.
Promote deposit mobilization efforts, aiming for a stable, low-cost funding base.
Enhance the Bank’s brand visibility in the SME sector through innovation, responsiveness, and top-tier service delivery.
Document all client engagements, including visits and contracts, and coordinate effectively with internal teams and bank management.
Identify synergy opportunities across departments to maximize service delivery and revenue generation.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognized institution.
Certification as a Credit Analyst is an added advantage.
Minimum of five (5) years of banking experience, with at least two (2) years in relationship management or sales roles.
Comprehensive understanding of the Bank’s products and services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Highly analytical with the ability to interpret and respond to market trends.
Strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset.
Self-motivated, assertive, and proactive with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Effective time management and pressure handling skills.
Proven ability to adapt to changing customer needs, competitor activity, and market conditions.
