Job Description
The Commercial Manager will lead the development and execution of ACE’s commercial strategies to expand its market presence and improve sales efficiency across various distribution channels. Key responsibilities include identifying and securing B2B and institutional partnerships, managing commercial teams, leading high-value contract negotiations, and building performance-based sales strategies. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with marketing, operations, product, and finance teams to ensure commercial alignment with company objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Business Scaling
Develop long-term commercial strategies to increase market share
Identify and exploit new market and expansion opportunities
Lead data-driven pricing and go-to-market initiatives
Optimize operations for effective commercial delivery
B2B & Institutional Sales Expansion
Build and grow B2B and institutional sales pipelines
Secure partnerships with corporates, NGOs, and government entities
Lead negotiations and manage high-value accounts
Drive tenders and bulk purchase agreements
Business Development & Market Penetration
Lead initiatives to open new revenue streams
Develop alternative financing models for increased consumer reach
Align commercial strategies with product and market trends
Drive multi-channel rural and urban sales
Commercial Strategy & Execution
Oversee regional sales expansion and target achievement
Implement forecasting tools and performance metrics
Innovate sales methods including digital tools and customer engagement
Collaborate with marketing for campaign execution
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead business development and sales teams
Define KPIs and monitor team performance
Foster a results-driven team culture
Provide strategic direction to field sales teams
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
At least 7 years’ experience in commercial management, business development, or strategic sales
Proven success in B2B sales and partnership development
Experience leading high-performing teams and managing executive-level relationships
Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Familiarity with large-scale distribution models and institutional sales
Previous work in clean energy, renewable energy, or social enterprise is an added advantage

Comfortable with travel and working under pressure
