Job Description
The Chief Impact Officer will oversee the refinement and implementation of Tiko’s research, monitoring, and learning framework. Responsibilities include guiding evidence generation on program performance and cost-effectiveness, leading innovation in predictive analytics and data governance, and ensuring ethical data use. The role will involve managing the research agenda, including RCTs and peer-reviewed publications, building partnerships with governments and funders, and representing Tiko in global forums. The officer will mentor the Impact Team, manage departmental budgets, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across multiple countries.

Lead the design and delivery of Tiko’s measurement, learning, and research framework.
Guide evidence generation on service integration, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive innovation in AI, predictive analytics, and data governance across programmes.
Ensure ethical and inclusive use of data, safeguarding privacy and dignity.
Oversee multi-country evaluations, RCTs, and peer-reviewed research publications.
Build relationships with governments, donors, and stakeholders to influence ASRH policy and investment.
Represent Tiko in global forums and technical working groups.
Mentor and manage the Impact Team, budget, and cross-country knowledge sharing.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications
PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science, Statistics, Health Economics, Medical Sociology, or related field.
Experience
7+ years in senior-level data systems, research, and MEL in Sub-Saharan Africa.
5+ years of direct collaboration with governments and Ministries of Health.
Proven expertise in ASRH measurement (FP, HIV, SGBV) and cost-effectiveness.
Experience managing multi-country evaluations and peer-reviewed publications.
Familiarity with AI, ML, and predictive analytics in programme delivery.
Competencies
Strong leadership and strategic thinking.
Excellent communication and ability to translate complex evidence into actionable insights.
Deep understanding of data ethics, safeguarding, and compliance.
Skilled in managing multicultural teams and building cross-country partnerships.
