Job Description
The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions, maintaining accurate cash records, and supporting the front-of-house team in ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will ensure that tills are operational, maintain cleanliness around the counter, and assist with stock display and restocking. They will also support the back and front of house with orders, complete daily sales reports, and follow established cash-up procedures.

How to Apply
Welcome customers with a friendly attitude and prioritize customer service
Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally
Maintain cleanliness of tills and counter area
Count float and ensure sufficient change and supplies (paper, ribbon) are available
Ensure correct product display and fridge/shelf restocking in the resale area
Keep front-of-house clean and tidy
Accurately count and balance cash drawers at the beginning of each shift
Complete daily cash-up and related documentation thoroughly
Issue correct receipts and provide accurate change
Assist front and back-of-house operations as needed
Contribute to team efforts during quiet times, including cleaning duties
Prepare and submit daily sales analysis reports
Ensure cash-up is reviewed by Admin Assistant/Manager at end of shift
Qualifications:
Grade 12 / Matric certificate
Experience:
2 to 5 years in a similar cashier or retail role
Skills and Competencies:
Strong numerical and cash-handling skills
Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems
Honest, detail-oriented, and reliable
Good organizational skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Able to work quickly and accurately
Well-groomed, friendly, and helpful
