Job Description
Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the Shift Supervisor (SS) will lead shifts to achieve CHAMPS standards by focusing on cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product quality, and speed of service. The SS will allocate responsibilities among team members, oversee maintenance procedures, protect company assets, report operational and staff issues to management, and assist in implementing staff training programs. The SS must act as a role model by demonstrating leadership in line with the "How We Win Together at KFC" principles: leading with Heart, Smart, and Courage.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist the RGM in achieving CHAMPS standards by ensuring high performance across all service areas.
Manage restaurant shifts following company policies to maximize sales, efficiency, and profitability.
Allocate and monitor tasks and performance of employees on each shift.
Ensure employees follow maintenance procedures; report any repairs or maintenance needs to the RGM.
Implement and maintain controls and procedures to safeguard employees, customers, property, and company funds.
Report employee relations issues, customer complaints, and health inspection concerns to ARM/RGM promptly.
Assist in the implementation of restaurant training programs to enhance employee performance and career development.
Actively demonstrate and promote company values and leadership behaviors.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Strong numeracy skills.
Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Minimum of 12 months experience in a management position.
All Star Certified with an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in place.
Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4); a related tertiary qualification is preferred.
Passion for maintaining product quality and delivering outstanding customer service.
Pride in representing the KFC brand.
