Job Summary
MOGO Uganda is looking for a motivated and skilled Call Center Agent to join our dynamic Debt Collection team. In this role, you will engage with customers primarily via phone and other communication channels to manage overdue accounts, provide clear information on payment options, and maintain accurate records. If you excel in communication, negotiation, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct outbound and receive inbound calls to contact customers with overdue accounts.
Politely remind customers about outstanding payments and due dates.
Accurately update customer records, call logs, and payment agreements in the system.
Engage in collection-related sales activities and resolve issues related to tracker functionality.
Meet daily and monthly call/contact targets and collection goals.
Adhere strictly to compliance standards, privacy regulations, and internal policies.
Maintain professionalism, empathy, and excellent customer service throughout all interactions.
Identify and escalate challenging accounts or customer concerns to supervisors promptly.
Use a respectful, solution-focused approach to ensure a positive experience, even during difficult conversations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum 1 year experience in a call center, customer service, or collections role is preferred.
Proficient with computer applications and software.
Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Runyakitara, Luganda, Swahili, or Luo.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during challenging conversations.
Strong customer orientation with patience, empathy, and effective communication skills.
