Job Title: Business Systems Operations Manager

Role Summary
KCB Bank Uganda is looking for a proactive and highly skilled Business Systems Operations Manager to oversee the operations, performance, and support of the Bank’s core banking system and digital channel platforms. This role is essential in ensuring optimal system availability, operational efficiency, and continuous service improvement in alignment with IT and business objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the Business Systems Operations team to improve overall productivity and service delivery.
Engage with business stakeholders to manage expectations and enhance service levels through effective SLA management and communication.
Manage vendor relationships for core banking and digital channels, including periodic SLA reviews and performance evaluations.
Ensure all core banking and supporting systems comply with established IT policies, standards, and procedures.
Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate execution of Close of Business (COB) processes to guarantee data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Ensure 24/7/365 uptime of core banking and digital platforms, and manage fault resolution and documentation.
Monitor the secure and timely transmission of transaction files to designated destinations using file transfer tools.
Supervise and resolve issues logged in ITSM and ECRM systems by coordinating with relevant teams and ensuring timely ticket closure.
Analyze and troubleshoot escalated issues within the core banking system and document all resolutions and outcomes.
Coordinate business requirements gathering, planning, testing, and deployment of new features, upgrades, patches, and improvements to the Core Banking System and digital products.
Work closely with users and IT teams to translate system enhancement and reporting requirements into clear technical specifications.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic & Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as ITIL and Project Management are an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing core banking systems and digital channels.
Prior experience with T24 Core Banking, Database Management, and IT Service Management is highly desirable.
