Job Description
A Business Development Officer (BDO) identifies and pursues new revenue opportunities, drives sales growth, builds client relationships, and develops strategies to expand the company’s market share by researching markets, creating pitches, negotiating deals, and analyzing data to meet business objectives.
Key duties include market research, lead generation, proposal development, client management, and collaboration with sales and marketing teams, requiring strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, often with a business/marketing degree and sales experience.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement business growth strategies, create business plans, and adapt marketing plans based on market conditions.
- Sales & Client Acquisition : Identify new clients and markets, generate leads, prepare and deliver pitches, and close deals.
- Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, and industry professionals.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze competitor data, and evaluate customer needs to find new opportunities.
- Product Promotion : Promote company products and services, providing knowledge and support to clients.
- Reporting & Administration : Track sales performance, manage client data, and contribute to branding efforts.
