Job Description
The Business Development Officer for Bancassurance is responsible for analyzing the bancassurance channel to identify and implement opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability. The role involves supporting the consistent growth of the channel and ensuring the smooth execution of all operational activities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Effectively work with your supervisor in the analysis of the performance of the Bancassurance Channel and propose and implement initiatives for the growth of the channel.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for bancassurance business.
- Follow up renewals to ensure business retention is optimised and the prescribed retention ratio is achieved.
- Effective relationship management to drive sustained business relationships with the banks.
- Drive the achievement of the sales revenue targets of the different Bancassurance Agents.
- Conduct checks on the productivity of the Bancassurance Agents and ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements with support from the Bancassurance channel lead.
- Support the smooth running of the Bancassurance operations as guided by the Bancassurance lead.
- Support on training initiatives of the Bancassurance agents.
- Prepare timely reports for the channel as and when need arises.
- Deliver on performance requirements as defined in the department’s strategy map and Personal Scorecard.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
