The Uganda Manufacturers Association is seeking to fill the position of Manager Business Development in its Business Development Department.


Purpose & Context:

The job holder is responsible for the growth and retention of the organization’s membership as well as the development and implementation of marketing strategies that grow the Association’s income.

How to Apply

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee membership growth and retention across all sectors of manufacturing in Uganda

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Association’s marketing and growth plans

  • Manage engagement and communication functions and coordinate the Association’s events to achieve set objectives.

  • Responsible for the implementation of an image database to meet the needs of Communications, Relations, and Events Teams.

  • Continuously scan the environment for opportunities and threats that are impactful to the Manufacturing sector

  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental plans and budgets.

  • Ensure effective execution of departmental income targets

  • Spearhead plan and execution of UMA member trade fairs

  • Carry out any other duties as signed by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related studies

  • Professional Certification in Marketing or a related field
