Job Description
Job Title: Business Development Executive (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: Swivel Marketing Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting revenue growth through strategic outreach and proposal development. You will play a key role in driving business expansion and positioning Swivel Marketing Uganda as a market leader in experiential and integrated marketing solutions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both existing and new markets
Generate leads through networking, referrals, research, and cold outreach
Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients
Prepare customized presentations, proposals, and marketing materials for client pitches
Understand client needs and work with internal teams (creative, operations, finance) to develop appropriate solutions
Represent the agency at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums
Track industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats
Maintain accurate records of business development activities, including pipeline tracking and reporting
Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in an advertising, marketing, or media agency
Strong network of clients or contacts in FMCG, telecoms, financial services, or similar industries is an added advantage
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a target-driven environment
Familiarity with marketing, digital, and brand activation strategies
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
