Job Purpose
The Business Analyst will support UEDCL’s strategic and operational objectives by analyzing business processes, modeling data, visualizing insights, and identifying improvement opportunities. The role bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that requirements are accurately captured, modeled, and implemented to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Improve operational efficiency through process optimization and technology integration.
Enhance stakeholder satisfaction by aligning business processes with organizational goals.
Contribute to UEDCL’s performance and growth by identifying, modeling, and mitigating operational challenges.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Result Areas
Business Process Analysis
Assess existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies.
Document, map, and model processes to recommend improvements.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
Engage stakeholders to identify and define business requirements.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and models for implementation.
Data Analysis, Modeling, and Visualization
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Build predictive and descriptive models to support strategic planning.
Generate interactive dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to aid decision making.
Solution Design and Implementation
Propose, model, and develop solutions to address business challenges.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and test solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external vendors.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings, models, and solutions.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks in business processes and data models and recommend mitigation strategies.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Expected Outputs
Detailed process maps, business requirements documents, and technical specifications.
Analytical models, reports, and interactive dashboards to inform decision-making.
Successfully implemented solutions that address key business challenges.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Person Specifications
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or Information Technology (or a related field).
Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, process improvement, or related roles.
Proven track record of analyzing, modeling, and optimizing business processes.
Experience in the energy or utilities sector is an added advantage.
Competencies
Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SQL and Python or R (certification required).
Knowledge and certification in statistics, data modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of business process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
