AIRD’s key focus areas have primarily been the transportation of refugees & nonfood items and extensive construction & infrastructure developments including shelters, bridges, hospitals, schools, roads, etc. Other activities include fuel management, fleet management, warehouse management, workshop management, and WASH. Our programs also work hand in hand with partners on a smaller scale to provide development support through livelihoods.

AIRD
Bus drivers are responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently from one point to another. They must follow a predetermined route and schedule, comply with traffic laws and regulations, and ensure that the vehicle is in good condition. Bus drivers also need to interact with passengers in a courteous and respectful manner, assist them with boarding and alighting, collect fares, and handle any complaints or emergencies. Bus drivers may work for public or private transportation companies, schools, or tour operators.

Customer service skills: Bus drivers must interact with passengers politely, answer their questions, and deal with any complaints or issues.
Communication skills: Bus drivers must communicate clearly with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using radios, intercoms, or signals.
Physical stamina: Bus drivers must be able to sit for long periods of time, maneuver the bus, and assist passengers with luggage or mobility devices.
Attention to detail: Bus drivers must check the bus before and after each trip, report any problems or defects, and keep records of mileage, fares, and schedules.
