About the Role
Uganda Breweries operates in a fast-evolving, highly competitive market with ambitious growth targets. As Brand Manager – Mainstream Spirits, you will play a critical role in building long-term brand equity while delivering strong commercial results.
This role oversees a portfolio of brands, blending creativity with strategy to drive business performance. You’ll be responsible for brand positioning, campaign execution, and consumer engagement—translating brand purpose into powerful marketing plans across all touchpoints.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of brand strategies aligned with business objectives and marketing goals.
Create and manage 18-month activity plans that support channel priorities and brand growth.
Drive data-led marketing initiatives that deepen consumer engagement and loyalty.
Oversee consistent and high-quality execution across all brand touchpoints.
Collaborate on innovation and renovation initiatives, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Monitor brand performance using key commercial and consumer metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manage relationships with external agencies (creative, media, PR, digital) to deliver impactful campaigns.
Partner with cross-functional teams—Commercial, Customer Marketing, Supply Chain, and Business Support—to align on strategic initiatives.
Act as an internal brand champion, promoting advocacy and passion throughout the organization.
Support the Marketing Manager with key strategic projects and cross-brand priorities.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Background:
A degree in Marketing or a related field is required.
A post-graduate qualification or CIM certification is a plus.
Experience:
3–4 years of experience in Brand Management.
Proven success managing brands and executing integrated campaigns.
Experience working with creative/media agencies and strategic partners.
Familiarity with fast-paced, dynamic commercial environments.
