Job Description
The Brand Manager – Dove will support the Head of Demand Creation in developing and executing brand strategies and experiences aligned with the overall marketing objectives. This includes planning and delivering in-store activations, POS materials, retail visibility, and consumer engagement activities that strengthen the Dove brand and drive measurable growth in awareness, penetration, and market share.
The role is responsible for aligning brand activations with strategic goals, managing agency partners, collaborating with digital and PR teams, and evaluating the effectiveness of brand experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, project management, and digital fluency, with a proven track record of driving beauty brand success in regional markets.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute experiential marketing campaigns for Dove that connect with target audiences and drive brand growth.
Plan and oversee in-store activations, sampling programs, and point-of-sale materials to enhance the shopper journey.
Collaborate with influencer, PR, and content teams to integrate experiential marketing into broader campaigns.
Manage relationships with activation agencies to ensure quality, budget compliance, and timely delivery.
Monitor and report on performance metrics such as ROI, engagement, and sales impact.
Ensure brand consistency across online and offline touchpoints.
Identify trends and insights to innovate shopper experiences and drive conversion.
Optimize brand experiences using shopper journey mapping and customer insight.
Align all activations with Dove’s product superiority and strategic objectives.
Contribute to the planning of new product launches and innovation campaigns.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
3+ years of hands-on experience in experiential marketing, preferably in the beauty industry
Strong understanding of the East and West African consumer landscape
Demonstrated success in planning and executing brand activations across digital and retail channels
Experience in managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams
Competencies:
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong creative and strategic thinking
Deep understanding of consumer behaviour and shopper journeys
Expertise in digital marketing and brand amplification
Strong analytical skills and experience using data to measure activation performance
Passion for beauty and a solid grasp of beauty trends
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Experience with AR/VR or interactive brand experiences is an advantage
