Job Description
The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving the branch’s financial performance through revenue growth and prudent cost management. The role involves growing and retaining the customer base, ensuring compliance with AML, CFT, KYC, and prudential guidelines, and delivering outstanding customer service. Additionally, the Branch Manager will manage branch operations, including cash management, accounts, and clearing, while motivating and developing a high-performing team. The position requires a strong background in retail banking, sales, and credit administration.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive branch profitability through revenue maximization and cost control.
Grow and monitor liability and asset portfolios to meet targets.
Expand customer base while ensuring retention and satisfaction through cross-selling.
Oversee efficient utilization of branch resources and operations.
Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service.
Enforce compliance with risk frameworks, SOPs, AML, CFT, KYC, and credit policies.
Supervise cash management, clearing, accounts, and administration functions.
Lead, motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
Manage credit analysis and administration.
Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients.
Submit accurate and timely reports to management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
Experience
At least 8 years’ experience in general banking.
Minimum 4 years as a Branch Manager in a mid-level branch.
Experience in sales and managing high-net-worth clients.
Strong credit analysis and administration background.
Banking operations experience (cash management, accounts, clearing, administration).
Proven record of consistent high performance in recent roles.
Competencies
Strong knowledge of retail banking products, services, and the banking industry.
In-depth understanding of risk management and credit policies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Ability to perform well under pressure while handling multiple priorities.
