Job Description
You will perform a wide range of professional hair services across diverse hair types (including Caucasian and natural hair), maintain clean and well-organized stations/tools, collaborate with salon assistants for seamless service, and provide product/after-care guidance to maximize client satisfaction and retention. You will also create light content about your work for the salon’s social platforms and follow house protocols on service timing, hygiene, and client handling.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide professional services: relaxing, texturizing/texlaxing, ladies’ scissors & clipper cuts, coloring, natural styling, weave/wig installation, braiding/plaiting, dreadlocks & sisterlocks, and related services.
Assess client needs; recommend styles, treatments, and after-care/home-care products.
Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation of workstation, tools, and equipment.
Coordinate smoothly with salon assistants to deliver timely, high-quality service.
Manage appointment timing and adhere to stipulated service durations.
Create/share simple social media updates showcasing work (per salon guidelines).
Uphold customer service standards; handle pressure and resolve client concerns professionally.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
1–3 years’ professional salon experience (upmarket setting an advantage).
Proven skills in modern cutting, coloring, braiding/plaiting, weaves/wigs, natural hair care, dreadlocks/sisterlocks.
Strong knowledge of current trends, techniques, and product protocols.
Excellent customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
Punctual, organized, and able to work to time standards; calm under pressure.
Team player who follows instructions and collaborates for overall salon success.
Basic social media familiarity for showcasing work (preferred).
