To carry out machine operation by adhering with safe practices (Health & Safety and Food Safety) and standard operating procedures
Ensure all Health & Safety and Quality requirements are met in accordance with company policy
Support in General duties such as – area and machine cleaning, packing, stacking, moving materials and equipment.
Ensure proper and efficient machine operations are carried out in accordance with set standard operating procedures
Ensure documents / sheets are properly and accurately filled out whilst performing machine operation
Ensure pre-operational checks are performed prior to machine operation
Support/lead in Autonomous Maintenance
Be a part of overall continuous improvement of the department.
Success Indicators
Adhere to best safety practices during machine operation and cleaning procedures. Support in implementation of 5S
Compliance with proper hygiene and GMP standards during machine operation
Compliance on standard operating procedures for proper and efficient machine operation
Accurate and timely completion of documents / sheets
Maintain machine condition and sound operation through effective autonomous maintenance.
Taking ownership of the Area/Machine to improve safe working conditions, food safety and machine performance
Understanding and adherence of applicable policies, safe system of work and business strategies.
ACTIVITIES
Carry out machine operation and cleaning as per standard operating procedures
Advise supervisor for maintenance of defective machine as required.
Wear the right PPE during machine operation and cleaning procedures
Fill out documents / sheets during machine operation
Carry out pre-operational check to respective machine for effective and efficient utilization
Perform personal hygiene during machine operation
Prepare required materials and consumables for production use
Prepare packaging materials for production use.
Prepare, adjust, and test machine parameters prior to start of operation
Conduct CIP & COP with machine / production lines as per standard operating procedures
Coordinate with production maintenance for any issues with the machine
Operate machine for production based on quality assurance standards and product specifications
Carry out autonomous maintenance of the machines
Support other production activities.

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent:
Essential baseline educational qualification.
Post-secondary Education:
Associate's degree or certification in process technology, chemical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Relevant Experience:
Several years (typically 5-7) of experience as a process operator in a manufacturing, chemical, or refinery environment.
Leadership Experience:
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a similar setting.
Technical Skills:
Process Control:
Proficiency in operating and understanding various control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Equipment Knowledge:
Deep understanding of process equipment such as reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and other relevant machinery.
Safety Standards:
Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards and practices, including HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and PSM (Process Safety Management).
Problem-solving:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve process and equipment issues efficiently.
Soft Skills:
Leadership:
Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise and mentor junior operators.
Communication:
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, other departments, and management.
Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail to ensure processes run smoothly and safely.
Decision-making:
Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure, to maintain process integrity and safety.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Physical Stamina:
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for long periods and handling heavy equipment.
Work Environment:
Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, noise, and exposure to chemicals.
Shift Work:
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Certifications:
