Job Description
Job Title: Associate - Business Development Services (No Experience Jobs)
Organisation: Challenges Group
Duty Station: Gulu, Uganda
Salary: £7,000 to £8,000 Per Annum
The Associate - Business Development Services plays a critical role in driving the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and assisting in the development and execution of strategies to increase revenue. This role involves working closely with senior business development and sales teams to support the company's expansion efforts and strengthen its market position.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Business Opportunity Identification:
Conduct market research to identify new business prospects and emerging industry trends.
Generate leads through a variety of channels, including cold calling, networking, and partnerships.
Assist in qualifying potential clients and opportunities based on company objectives and priorities.
Client Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential clients.
Assist in client presentations, meetings, and proposal preparation.
Monitor and address client feedback to ensure long-term satisfaction and growth.
Support in Proposal Development:
Work with the business development team to prepare and present proposals, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Ensure proposals are aligned with client needs, company capabilities, and strategic goals.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
Analyze competitor activities and market trends to inform business strategies.
Assist in the development of reports summarizing findings and recommendations for business development.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Contribute to the creation and execution of business development strategies, goals, and action plans.
Provide insights into market opportunities and assist in identifying areas for growth or improvement.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product development) to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communications between the business development team and other stakeholders.
Tracking and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and opportunities in CRM systems.
Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or related areas (internships or entry-level experience may also be considered).
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with CRM tools and lead generation platforms is a plus.
A proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of industry-specific trends or markets.
Familiarity with proposal writing and the RFP process.
Fluency in additional languages may be beneficial
