Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Assistant Manager (AGM) to support overall hotel operations and help establish strong systems, standards, and team performance.
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with experience in large, reputable hotel chains who is ready to take on a strategic leadership position in a growing hotel.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations across all departments (Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance)
- Ensure consistent delivery of high service standards and guest satisfaction
- Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures, and quality control systems
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, cost control, and revenue optimization
- Lead, coach, and supervise departmental heads to drive accountability and performance
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan regulatory requirements, health & safety standards, and internal policies
- Handle guest concerns and escalations professionally and efficiently
- Support recruitment, staff training, and performance management in collaboration with HR
- Drive operational readiness, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
