Job Description
As part of the business development team, the Assistant Manager will lead initiatives to acquire new business through various channels, including intermediaries and direct clients. The role requires strong relationship management skills to maintain and expand existing customer accounts. Key responsibilities include preparing and negotiating quotations, managing account renewals, conducting training sessions, responding to client inquiries, and generating detailed management reports. The successful candidate will also contribute to market research, risk assessments, and the development of business growth strategies, while ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

How to Apply
Pursue business acquisition through existing and new channels
Prepare and negotiate quotations for both new and existing clients
Implement a broker relationship management program
Monitor and manage account renewals
Participate in tender processes and prepare required documentation
Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Conduct product training and market analysis
Provide risk details to support underwriting processes
Maintain and update prospective and closed business databases
Prepare and submit regular management reports
Recommend strategies for business growth and resolution of challenges
Ensure adherence to operational procedures and code of ethics
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, or a related discipline
Progress towards professional insurance qualification (e.g. ACII, FCII)
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in marketing general insurance solutions to corporates and organized groups
Core Competencies:
Strategic and analytical thinking
Strong organizational and time management skills
Project management and problem-solving ability
Effective communication (written and verbal)
Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently
Negotiation and presentation skills
Professional demeanor, discretion, and integrity
