Job Description
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Daily check the derrick, crown block, mud pump room, and monkey board
- Responsible for weekly inspection and maintenance of derrick, crown block, travelling block, monkey board, pneumatic/hydraulic winch and other equipment
- Safely operate on the monkey board when tripping in/out drill string
- Inspect, maintain and lubricate derrick, crown block, traveling block, rotary table, manride hoister, and all hanging equipment
- Check and inspect pins and safety retaining pins on the substructure and derrick
- Lead floorman in running casing operations
- Assist mechanic and assistant driller to repair equipment
- Mix mud as requested, meet hole requirements BOP and wellhead
- Check and lubricate travelling block system and TDS; ensure drilling line is in good order
