Job Title: Assistant CCTV Camera Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and vigilant Assistant CCTV Camera Operator to support our surveillance and security operations at the Mbarara Branch. If you're passionate about security monitoring and operational excellence, this is your opportunity to join a reputable and growing company.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
CCTV Operation & Monitoring
Operate and adjust cameras for full area coverage
Monitor live video feeds and respond to security threats
Troubleshoot minor technical issues
Surveillance & Incident Detection
Monitor high-risk areas (production lines, storage, cash points, parking, entry/exit points)
Identify suspicious behavior or security breaches
Escalate emergencies promptly
Reporting & Documentation
Log all unusual incidents
Prepare accurate reports with supporting footage
Share findings with security teams and management
Coordination & Support
Collaborate with on-site security and law enforcement
Provide relevant footage for investigations, HR cases, or legal proceedings
Data Management & Control Room Maintenance
Store footage securely and restrict access to authorized personnel
Maintain an organized control room and ensure compliance with monitoring protocols
Footage Review & Analysis
Assist in reviewing recordings for investigations
Highlight trends or recurring security issues
Security Strategy & System Maintenance
Recommend improvements to surveillance systems
Conduct routine system tests and report faults

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Computing, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CCTV operations or security monitoring
Excellent observation and analytical skills
Strong communication and reporting abilities
High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
Working Conditions
Environment: Secure control room at the Mbarara Branch
Shifts: Rotational (day, night, weekends, public holidays) to ensure 24/7 surveillance
Physical Demands: Long hours of screen monitoring; good vision required
Stress Tolerance: Must remain alert and composed during emergencies
Confidentiality: Strict adherence to data protection and security protocols
Collaboration: Regular coordination with security, IT, management, and authorities
