Job Description
Reporting to the Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for daily accounting functions including transaction posting, receipting, invoicing, banking, and maintaining records. The role requires proficiency in accounting software, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to support various financial operations. The candidate should be meticulous and well-organized to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Post daily financial transactions into the accounting system.
Receive payments and issue receipts to tenants.
Generate invoices and ETR receipts.
Deposit collections to the bank on a daily basis.
Maintain the Daily Banking Register.
Open and manage financial files, ensuring accurate document filing and retrieval.
Manage incoming and outgoing financial correspondence.
Provide information retrieval services as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Accountant, Property Manager, or Management Committee.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
CPA Part II or equivalent accounting qualification.
At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or general accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally).
Basic understanding of financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good problem-solving capabilities.
