Job Description
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will operate under the general direction of the Vice-Chancellor and will be responsible for managing, planning, and overseeing all financial functions within Moi University. The CFO will provide technical financial leadership, implement sound financial policies and systems, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting institutional growth and accountability.

How to Apply
Provide strategic financial guidance to the University.
Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies, and systems.
Supervise and coordinate all Finance and Accounting Units.
Design and develop accounting services and systems.
Ensure timely submission of annual financial statements and reports.
Maintain high accounting standards across the university.
Advise the University Management Board on all financial matters.
Master’s degree (MSc, MA, or MBA) in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA, or CA and membership in ICPAK or a recognized professional body in good standing.
Minimum of 10 years' experience, with at least 4 years at a senior level such as Chief Accountant or Deputy CFO in a university or public institution.
Proven leadership, coordination, and organizational skills at top management level.
Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (submit KRA, HELB, Police Clearance, EACC, and Credit Reference Bureau clearances).
Proficiency in ICT, especially financial systems.
Added Advantage:
Doctorate in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Certificate in Strategic Leadership or Management (minimum four weeks’ duration).
