Job Description
Job Title: Area Supervisor
Organisation: Zembo Motorcycles SMC Limited
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Oversee and coordinate operations for a hub within a network of 30 stations to ensure efficiency, service quality, and safety. Enforce SOPs, align operations with company goals, and monitor performance metrics. Manage the swap station network to minimize rider downtime and maintain high customer satisfaction (NPS). Supervise and support station operators, enforce safety protocols, handle disciplinary actions, and ensure team compliance with company policies. Collaborate with another hub supervisor to ensure operational consistency and share best practices, providing regular updates to the Operations Manager.

How to Apply
Manage and coordinate operations for a hub of stations (part of a network of 30 stations) to ensure smooth service and operational efficiency.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed at each station, focusing on service quality, safety, and efficiency.
Align station operations with company goals, ensuring all stations in the hub are meeting performance targets.
Oversee the swap station network within the hub, ensuring timely battery swaps and minimizing rider downtime.
Monitor and improve customer satisfaction, ensuring that stations maintain a high Net Promoter Score (NPS) through excellent service and operational consistency.
Enforce safety protocols related to battery swapping, charging, and electric motorcycle handling across all stations.
Handle disciplinary actions within the hub, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high team performance.
Supervise and support station operators, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Track and report on station performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Operations Manager on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and safety compliance.
Collaborate with the second hub supervisor to ensure consistency in operations and share best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in managing operational teams, particularly within the electric vehicle or transportation sector.
Strong knowledge of operational safety standards, especially in EV and battery handling.
Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stations.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
