Job Description
The Analyst, Planning, Policy and Research will support the Authority’s strategic functions by gathering and analyzing data to inform planning, monitoring, evaluation, and economic policy formulation. The officer will compile economic and performance-related reports, maintain data systems, and support implementation of the department's work plans and performance contracts. This role is essential for enhancing evidence-based decision-making within the Authority.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collect and collate statistical data on the Authority’s planned activities and projects
Assist in data analysis for planned activities and projects
Compile data for economic analysis to inform policy development
Gather data and information for monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessments
Assist in the preparation of periodic reports
Support implementation of departmental work plans, performance contracts, and relevant policies
Participate in at least one statutory committee of the Authority
Update databases to ensure availability of current data for investigations and analysis

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a business-related field
Strong skills in economic analysis and data handling
Report writing and analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must have fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
