Job Description
The Agency Banker will be responsible for delivering banking services to customers at designated banking agent points. The role includes performing cash transactions, promoting financial products, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with banking policies, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform agency banking operations including deposits, withdrawals, account inquiries, balance confirmations, and bill payments.
- Support customer onboarding through account opening, registration for mobile/ digital banking platforms, and guiding clients on available banking services.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, timely balancing of transactions, and secure custody of cash and banking equipment.
- Maintain daily transaction records, prepare reports, and support daily reconciliation of accounts and floats.
- Educate customers on banking products, services, terms, and requirements while providing responsive and friendly customer support.
- Verify customer identification and conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) processes to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
- Monitor agent point operations, report incidents or suspicious activities, and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
- Promote and market banking services within the community to drive business growth.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in service delivery.
