Job Description
The Assistant Accountant will support the finance department in managing financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. This role is suitable for fresh graduates who are willing to learn, demonstrate strong numerical skills, and possess high levels of integrity and accuracy.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in processing payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
- Support preparation of financial statements, monthly reports, and accounting records.
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist in bank reconciliations, cashbook updates, and monitoring of accounts.
- Support preparation of invoices, payment vouchers, and other finance documents.
- Assist in managing petty cash and ensuring proper accountability.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide support to auditors during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Handle basic data entry, updating accounting systems, and maintaining financial databases.
- Perform any other accounting or finance-related duties assigned by supervisors.
