Job Description
The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting front office and restaurant operations, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires a trustworthy, organized, detail-oriented individual with strong numerical ability and professionalism.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive and process all customer payments including cash, mobile money, card payments, and other approved methods.
- Issue receipts and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate daily cash records and reconcile balances at the end of each shift.
- Ensure safe custody of cash, receipts, and hotel financial documents.
- Support guest check-in and check-out payment processes.
- Handle billing, prepare invoices, and ensure correct posting of transactions into the hotel system.
- Assist in maintaining financial files and records in an organized manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries courteously and provide excellent service.
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, or irregularities immediately.
- Ensure compliance with hotel financial procedures and internal controls.
- Perform any other finance or cashier-related duties assigned by management.
