The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, arrange and monitor adult education training to the
adult refugees and host communities, and provide technical support and mentoring to the volunteer literacy and language instructors and adult education related mentoring to business skill facilitators.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Support and Training
Plan and implement functional adult literacy (FAL) and language training – such as English for Adults (EFA), and business skill trainings following the agreed curricula, topics and themes.
Provide professional support to and capacity building of volunteer instructors and facilitators in the field of adult teaching methods, literacy and language and training.
Arrange and support practical exercises and small projects in support of functionality in FAL and EFA course.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
Collect data using FRC designed M & E tools and forms on learners’ performance and on instructors’ skills and competences.
Analyse progress towards project outcome and outputs, record and discuss the lessons learnt and possible corrective actions.
Innovation
Develop methods and teaching approaches to enhance functionality and learners’ involvement and experiment new learning materials.

Qualifications and competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education or in Pedagogy/ Community Development with very strong
experience in adult education and literacy.
Strong experience on training, material development, participatory assessments.
At least 2 years’ professional work experience in training with communities.
Ability to work in remote areas with minimal supervision and achieve results.
Ability to use standard computing packages.
Knowledge of languages spoken by refugees from South-Sudan.
Motorcycle riding skills is a MUST and will be tested.
