Job Description
Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client in the oil and gas industry, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to work in Uganda
Job summary:
The person in this role is expected to demonstrate daily the appropriate analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to fulfil the responsibilities outlined below and generate quality results. Strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels of the organization are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coding of billable account payables, payment processing and check register preparation for multiple clients
Raising any vendor inquiries
Creating and vetting of accounts payable ledger within SAP
Ensure accuracy and vet all invoices received
Follow up on all payable invoices and providing for payables for month end reporting
Ensure internal controls are followed and assist with internal and external audits
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
Reporting on creditor’s position on weekly basis
Ensuring all payables are proposed for payment within the payable time
Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Conduct business following the highest ethical standards
Meet deadlines and be able to work in a dynamic environment
Ensuring payable rate sheets are verified and uploaded in SAP.

Qualifications and Competencies
Degree in Finance with major in Accounting
Relevant Professional courses CPA/ACCA level II required
Experience: 5+ years of experience working as an accounts payable accountant in the logistics industry is an added advantage
Competencies:
Proficiency in MS Office and Accounting software is required.
Knowledge of QuickBooks, ERP will be an asset.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail.
Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills
Basic PPE, HSE, firefighting and first aid training
High level of integrity required
