Job Description
The Accounts Intern will join the Finance team and be actively involved in day-to-day operations. The role includes responsibilities such as bank reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, debtor and creditor management, FIC reporting, and general ledger reconciliations. The intern will also support accounts payable, petty cash handling, vehicle administration, and various administrative tasks including uniform management and ordering processes. This internship provides valuable practical learning in a fast-paced automotive finance environment, designed to prepare graduates for future career opportunities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Perform bank reconciliations and account allocations.
Manage debtors: receipting, allocating, and reporting.
Assist with cashflow forecasting.
Prepare and support FIC reporting.
Allocate cash ledger accounts.
Handle petty cash and banking functions.
Support accounts payable and vehicle administration activities.
Conduct general ledger reconciliations.
Manage uniform fittings, ordering, and processing.
Process floorplan payments and DIC.
Maintain ordering control for books.
Undertake other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualification (or current studies) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (advantageous).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (advantageous).
Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
High attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
