Job Description
The Assistant Outlet Manager will play a central role in managing the daily operations of Rooi restaurant, including supervising staff, maintaining service standards, monitoring financial performance, and implementing cost control measures. The incumbent will assist in menu analysis, training programs, guest relations, and maintaining cleanliness and standards of equipment and facilities. The role requires proactive leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving abilities to enhance guest satisfaction, ensure compliance with hotel standards, and contribute to the restaurant’s profitability. The position also includes responsibility for reporting, coordinating with other F&B outlets, overseeing inventories, and coaching staff for continued improvement.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist the Restaurant Manager in preparing and managing the annual operating budget.
Support in maximizing profitability and monitoring revenue performance.
Maintain guest service standards and resolve complaints professionally.
Supervise daily restaurant operations, including menu analysis and planning.
Oversee staff scheduling, punctuality, grooming, and training.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure effective communication with related departments.
Monitor cleanliness, equipment condition, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Manage inventories, report losses/breakages, and enforce cost-saving measures.
Provide input on promotional materials and initiatives to support sales strategies.
Attend F&B briefings and represent the outlet in meetings as needed.
Evaluate staff performance, motivate and coach team members, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Promote guest satisfaction through quality service, presentation, and attention to detail.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience
Experience in Food & Beverage management, preferably in a luxury property.
Strong background in restaurant and bar operations.
International hospitality experience is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with strong planning and analytical skills.
Goal-oriented with a commitment to continual learning and service excellence.
Ability to train, coach, and motivate a diverse team.
Knowledge of wine service, bartending, and food and beverage policies.
