Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial activities, including tax and NSSF filing, managing QuickBooks Online records, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role requires someone with prior NGO experience, a high level of integrity, and proficiency in financial systems. The Accountant will also be expected to uphold the Christian values of the organization and work closely with the Country Director to ensure transparency and accountability in all financial matters.

Manage day-to-day accounting functions of the organization
Prepare and file statutory returns including PAYE, Income Tax, and NSSF
Maintain up-to-date records using QuickBooks Online
Prepare monthly financial reports and reconcile accounts
Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and donor requirements
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
Support external and internal audits
Uphold the Christian values and mission of the organization in all financial dealings

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience working with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)
Proven knowledge and experience in filing PAYE, Income Tax, and NSSF
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Strong attention to detail and integrity
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be a committed Christian with a strong alignment to the values of the organization
