About the Role
Faces Up Uganda is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to oversee the organization’s financial operations, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and maintain compliance with NGO financial policies and statutory requirements.
The Accountant will manage budgets, donor funds, and financial reporting while supporting audits, ensuring transparency, and contributing to the effective financial management of the organization.

How to Apply
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in line with accounting standards and organizational policies.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, donor reports, and management accounts.
Reconcile bank, cash, and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Monitor cash flow and assist in the preparation and tracking of organizational budgets.
Ensure proper management and reporting of donor funds in accordance with grant requirements.
Prepare and file statutory returns, including taxes and other mandatory submissions.
Support both internal and external audit processes.
Promote adherence to financial controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
CPA Level I or higher (added advantage).
2–3 years of progressive experience in NGO accounting or financial management.
Strong knowledge of donor reporting, grant management, and budget tracking.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and organizational skills.
