The Junior Loan Officer for Business Loans assists in the process of evaluating, approving, and managing business loans for small to medium-sized businesses. This role is focused on providing support to senior loan officers and managing client relationships to facilitate business loan applications. The Junior Loan Officer helps evaluate the financial health of businesses, ensures compliance with lending guidelines, and ensures efficient loan processing.

How to Apply
Loan Application Review:
Assist in reviewing loan applications and supporting documentation submitted by business clients.
Ensure that all required documents (financial statements, tax returns, business plans, etc.) are submitted and accurate.
Verify the accuracy of financial information provided by the applicant.
Loan Assessment:
Analyze the financial health of businesses by assessing creditworthiness, cash flow, and the overall ability to repay the loan.
Assist in calculating loan terms, including interest rates, repayment schedules, and loan amounts.
Work with the Senior Loan Officer to determine loan approval or rejection based on risk assessments.
Client Relationship Management:
Communicate with business clients throughout the loan process, answering questions and guiding them through requirements.
Assist clients in gathering necessary documentation and resolving any issues that may arise during the approval process.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential business clients to ensure a positive experience.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure that all loan transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
Assist in preparing loan agreements, contracts, and necessary documentation for loan disbursement.
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices for business loans.
Loan Processing & Support:
Assist in the preparation of loan proposals and present them to senior loan officers or committees.
Track and maintain detailed records of all loan applications and statuses.
Help manage the loan pipeline and ensure timely follow-ups with clients and other departments involved in loan processing.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and assess the competitive landscape of business lending products.
Stay informed about trends in the business lending industry to advise clients on the best products.
Minimum of a diploma in a relevant field, e.g. Economics, Social Science, SWASA, Accounts, SACCOs and Microfinance.
A minimum of a Second Class Upper
Knowledge about Business Management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Computer knowledge
Minimum 23 years old and Max of 30 years old.
