The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is a Government Agency mandated to oversee Standardization, Quality Assurance, Metrology, and Laboratory Testing (SQMT) with the objective of promoting fair trade and protecting consumers and the environment from harmful commodities.
UNBS seeks to recruit highly motivated, result–oriented, and suitably qualified professionals with high levels of integrity for the following positions:

REGIONAL MANAGER – 3 POSITIONS
Reports to: Deputy Executive Director – Management and Financial Services
Responsible for leadership and administration of the regional office, coordination of technical services, and management of regional operations in line with the UNBS mandate.

How to Apply
Lead and manage the regional office, allocate resources, and ensure accountability
Promote UNBS image and provide accurate information to the region
Promote collaboration with key stakeholders
Coordinate technical operations within the regional office
Develop and oversee administrative and field operations policies
Undertake planning, budgeting, and reporting
Authorize expenditures, procurement requisitions, and verify accountabilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual work plan implementation reports
Coordinate staff performance and conduct reviews

Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or other related sciences from a recognized institution
Honours degree in any of the above fields
Training in management is an added advantage
Minimum of 9 years’ experience, at least 5 of which must be supervisory
Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage
Strong analytical, innovative, strategic and data–interpretation skills
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, ICT, and decision-making skills
Age: 35–55 years
