Job Description
Position Title: Hotel Accountant (2 Positions)
Organization: Uganda Kolping Society (UKS)

Reports To: Hotel Manager
Age Limit: 23 – 35 years

Position Overview
The Hotel Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations at Kolping Hotels, including the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, supervision of revenue collection, and ensuring compliance with statutory financial obligations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with solid accounting knowledge and strong integrity.

Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts and other financial records for the hotel.
Supervise revenue collection and manage overall hotel finances.
Develop, implement, and monitor budgets; generate periodic financial reports.
Reconcile bank statements with the hotel’s cashbook and accounting software.
Prepare and file tax returns; ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.
Manage payroll processing, including deductions and remittances.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting), Accounting & Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an added advantage.
At least two (2) years of experience in a reputable organization.
Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Sound knowledge of tax regulations, payroll management, and audit procedures.
Excellent financial management, analytical, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
High moral integrity and ethical standards.
