Position Summary
The Community Services Supervisor (CSS) will support the implementation of community-based protection initiatives in Adjumani. Under the supervision of the Community-Based Protection Officer, the CSS will oversee Case Workers, Community-Based Facilitators (CBFs), Causal Workers, and community structures. The role ensures that project activities align with LWF's guidelines and that objectives are effectively met.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Program Implementation
Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, NGOs, and partners to support program delivery and achieve project goals.
Collect, compile, and analyze field data to monitor progress and assess impact using participatory tools (e.g., AGD, RBA).
Identify and assess Persons with Specific Needs (PSNs), and recommend appropriate interventions.
Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation and provide technical support.
Facilitate the active participation of community members (youth, elders, women, etc.) in planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Build the capacity of community structures (e.g., Social Action Teams, volunteers, and social workers) in needs assessments, counseling, referrals, and basic protection support.
Collaborate with local authorities at settlement and sub-county levels for effective planning and coordination.
Prepare and submit timely and quality weekly, monthly, and end-of-activity reports.
Administrative and Supervisory Roles
Represent LWF in community and coordination meetings at the settlement level.
Support recruitment and onboarding of field casual workers and CBFs.
Manage field office operations and base camp logistics.
Supervise case workers and oversee their daily activities.
Maintain proper asset tracking and reporting.
Submit monthly HR field reports.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in community-based program management, ideally in a refugee context.
Strong knowledge of community engagement practices and humanitarian principles.
Excellent reporting, documentation, monitoring, and evaluation skills.
Familiarity with LWF operations and partner engagement is an advantage.
Strong organizational and team coordination skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess a valid motorcycle riding permit (Class “A”).
