About the USAID Project
The USAID Local Partner Health Services – Kigezi & Lango Activity is a five-year initiative implemented by JCRC. It aims to continue technical assistance for the delivery of district-based, integrated HIV/AIDS and TB services. The Activity operates across 16 districts and one city in the Kigezi and Lango regions and supports life-saving interventions in the Ankole and Acholi regions.
Its overarching goal is to improve the availability, accessibility, and utilization of high-quality, integrated HIV and TB services.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with in-charges of various service delivery units to ensure patient files and registers are complete.
Support departments in generating timely, accurate, complete, and valid data from health registers for submission to MoH and PEPFAR reporting systems.
Receive and respond to HIV/TB-related data calls and reporting requests.
Update national Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with data from paper-based patient records.
Maintain and manage data systems including EMR, DHIS2, eCBSS, YAPs MIS, PIRS, and CQI by ensuring timely updates with current data.
Organize and store both hardcopy and digital data files in line with program and regulatory requirements.
Ensure the security and confidentiality of all donor-provided IT equipment and records.
Uphold high standards of data quality by validating entered data against source documents.
Perform data cleaning in accordance with established data quality protocols.
Participate in facility-level quality improvement (QI) initiatives by collecting, summarizing, entering, and analyzing relevant data.
Assist healthcare providers in implementing data quality assurance activities as outlined in standard operating procedures and job aids.
Train health workers in the effective use of EMR systems and databases to improve patient care outcomes.
Ensure patient-level data is securely and routinely backed up onsite and offsite.
Update facility audit tools and support data review processes using visual tools like data boards.
Carry out any other duties as required by the project.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Population Studies/Demography, or a related field.
Practical experience in data management with familiarity in MoH and PEPFAR systems.
Hands-on experience in the use of weekly audit tools for data analysis and quality assurance.
Proficiency in computer use, especially in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and function effectively in a team.
Keen attention to detail and a passion for accurate data entry and data integrity.
